Investigation of Langdon effect on the stimulated backward Raman and Brillouin scattering

In a laser-irradiated plasma, the Langdon effect makes electron energy distribution function (EEDF) tend to super-Gaussian distribution, which has important influences on laser plasma instabilities. this work, of EEDF convective stimulated backward Raman scattering (SRS) and Brillouin (SBS) are studied systematically for wide range typical parameters in inertial confinement fusion (ICF). Distinct behaviors found SRS SBS variation trend peak spatial growth rate corresponding wavelength scattered light. Especially, plasmas with different ion species isotopes is analyzed detail, parameter boundary judging superGaussian exponent presented first time. certain region, it that could enhance mixed may attenuate improvement suppressing by mixing low-Z ions into high-Z plasma. These comprehension LPIs would contribute better understanding experiments.
